Referral Criteria & Process

Referrals accepted from: A & E, AHPs, CMHTs, Consultants, Drug/alcohol agencies, GP staff, GPs, Health visitors, Hospital staff, Housing associations, Local authority staff, Midwives, Other NHS services, Other Trust services, Police, Schools, Voluntary services, Youth centres, Youth Offending Team. All referrals go via the single point of access team (http://www.southwestyorkshire.nhs.uk/our-services/directory/wakefield-child-adolescent-mental-health-service-camhs/referrals/). Urgent referrals are usually made by telephoning the team on 01977 465865. Self referral only available to people who have been previously discharged by ED service.
