Vanessa McLennan

I help you to beat your Binge Eating Disorder and your disordered eating by working on the inner issues. I help to get a structured eating approach. This also helps with overeating and weightloss.

I got into this area of work through my own health issues. I had poor health so I had to completely change the way I ate.  I had a lot of inner emotional issues that I didn't realise were even stopping me in life and once I started working on those, life got better and my eating just got healthier. I did not realise just how valuable seeing a therapist could be. It has made me not be worried by things that used to trigger me and I have a much more peaceful and fulfilling life. Along the way I trained as an NLP practitioner, then a hypnotherapist now a psychotherapist as I love helping people with their food issues and help them to break free so they too can enjoy a carefree, fulfilling happy life free from food stress.

Trained with Surrey College of Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy Currently doing further courses with The National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy Advanced Emotional Eating Working with Binge Eating disorder and Food addiction

Hypnotherapy Diploma Certificate in Binge Eating Disorder

I have been specialising with clients who have eating issues and disordered eating. I have helped clients to get a structure to their eating, stop their binge eating and restriction cycles. Help free them from overeating and food addiction. Examples; Client A - Came with lots of times they would Binge Eat. They could not stop eating when binged. Then they would go on a diet and would be able to stick with it for a few weeks and would binge again. They would feel shame and guilt. We worked on stopping the bingeing, and stopping the dieting so they had a healthy eating pattern. We worked on no longer feeling the shame and guilt. It was freeing and liberating. Example Client B - Came with chocolate addiction. Could not stop eating it. Ate it every day and was eating way to many bars for their liking. We worked on why they ate it, what role it filled in their life. Building up feelings of confidence and self esteem and finding other pleasures in life. Result, client still enjoys chocolate but now only minimally. They did not want to cut it out forever.
