The Junction Edinburgh - Young People, Health & Wellbeing

The Junction is a young people's health and well-being project based in Leith, Edinburgh. We provide free, confidential services tailored to the needs of individual young people. You can refer for regular counselling or one-to-one support. Counselling lasts for around 20 fifty minute sessions and is an opportunity to explore your feelings about your past, present and future. One-to-one support lasts around 8-10 fifty minute sessions and allows you to set goals and find tools that support you to work towards them.
You can also come for a walk-in appointment, where you can talk to a worker about what's on your mind in a confidential setting.
We offer weekly drop-ins on Wednesdays and Fridays where we offer Reiki and Massage.

Referral Criteria & Process

Young people aged 12-21 who are living, studying or working in North East Edinburgh


Our Counselors are experienced and either qualified and registered with an appropriate governing body, or in the final stages of counselling training. They are all supervised by our Senior Counselor who supports them to deliver the best possible service. We also offer one-to-one, goal focused support delivered by Project Workers - they are experienced youth workers, trained in a range of different areas such as Community Education, Public Health, Sexual Health and CBT.
