S.H.A.P.E is a community based service covering North East Essex dedicated to the support and treatment of young people aged 11 to 17 years of age with early signs of eating and body image difficulties and their parents or carers. We provide early intervention treatment for young people through assessments and 1:1 therapy, support for the family, both group and individual work and can provide information and advice as well as practical interventions around a range of treatments and strategies for eating disorder sufferers. This project is primarily an outreach service; we meet with clients either in y.e.s. Colchester or Tendring Centres, on school premises or in GPs surgeries.
