Referral Criteria & Process

Riverdale accepts both private referrals from the general public and funded referrals from health professionals. You may want help for yourself, a friend or family member. Treatment can be accessed following a referral from a GP or a Consultant Psychiatrist. Initially you or the person you are concerned about needs to contact the relevant health professional to discuss the referral. When made we also need information on who will be responsible for the funding. This can be an individual or a health insurance provider. Riverdale accepts referrals from Community Mental Health Teams, GP's, Consultant Psychiatrists and Eating Disorder Services. This can be by a referral letter from a GP, Consultant Psychiatrist or completion of our patient referral form. The additional information detailed below is also required. Qualifications

Our experienced multi-disciplinary team of professionals provides specialist eating disorder care. As well as being experienced in working with eating disorders our team are also experienced in working with patients with a range of mental health conditions and are therefore able to work with most co-morbidities that may present along with the eating disorder.
