Rhodes Wood Hospital (ITC)

Rhodes Wood Hospital is a specialist treatment centre for children and young people aged 6-18 years who are diagnosed with an eating disorder and require inpatient care.

At Rhodes Wood Hospital, we can offer:
- A dedicated evidence based treatment programme focussed on supporting young people and their families to manage their eating disorder
- An intensive feeding support service for those with high dependency needs
- Specialist outpatient support - Bespoke packages of treatment

Our new (April 2016) larger premises in Brookmans Park, near Hatfield, permits us to offer a much better environment and improved facilities for our young patients. In addition to our main 'acute' service, we now offer a separate High Dependency Unit and a private pay service.

Referral Criteria & Process

Referrals are usually made by a healthcare professional (e.g. psychiatrist, nurse, GP) and can be made by telephone, email or in writing. In some circumstances, we are able to accept a referral from a child's parents or carers. Treatment can be funded by the NHS, most major private medical insurers or by private funding.
