Orri is a Specialist Day Treatment service dedicated to supporting those suffering with eating disorders as well as their carers. We are CQC registered, based in central London, and have a full team of experts who work together to treat those aged 16 and above suffering with different types of eating disorders and co-occurring conditions (such as anxiety, depression, OCD and body image issues).
Our programmes include individualised, group and family therapy. Our programmes are flexible in intensity and duration. By taking a stepped approach where individuals work through the programmes gradually, we can provide the right level of support as they maintain a job, go to school or university, or return to their life alongside recovery.
Treatment at Orri focuses on helping clients to gain clarity around the role of the eating disorder in their life. With support and understanding, clients develop an understanding into their behaviours. As changes occur they consolidate these experiences in a supportive, non-judgemental environment, and as clients move through recovery, they develop and practice ‘relapse prevention tools’ to prepare them for re-integration into their home, work and social environments. Our clients build confidence and resilience as they move away from Orri and onwards with their lives.
At the heart of Orri’s philosophy is the intention to support and heal the whole person, not just the symptoms of the eating disorder. Referring to Orri can be done in one of two ways – either directly as a self-referral or via a healthcare professional. To put clients' minds at ease, Orri offers a free clinical assessment which includes intake meetings with expert clinicians to build an initial care plan and confirm that Orri is the right next step. Treatment programmes are both self-funded and we are recognised by private health insurers including Bupa and Vitality. If you have health insurance we recommend reaching out to your case manager to discuss our treatment, or speak to our admissions specialist who can help you explore this.
Due to our stepped approach, treatment costs vary depending on what programme of treatment is needed. Clients will attend a free assessment day, meeting with our clinical team to develop a care plan and programme price.
