You have taken a brave first step in seeking help and I offer you a warm welcome.
When we begin our work together, I will give you a safe and confidential space to understand and work through the root causes of your eating disorder and uncover the insight, practical skills and curiosity you need to engage fully in a way forward.
My approach is to help every client reach their full potential. By looking at the drivers which may include unresolved childhood issues, social anxiety, trauma, or a new diagnosis of ADD, we will be able to reach an understanding of the effect this has had on all aspects of your life and those close to you. We will strengthen your motivation and resilience so that you can take the necessary steps to live the life and build the relationships that you want. You may have felt overwhelmed, frustrated or despairing about your eating disorder, but I assure you that change and a hopeful future is possible.
How I Work
I am a UKCP accredited psychotherapist with over twenty years of experience, and I specialise in all aspects of disordered eating. I work holistically, and often collaborate with other professionals including doctors, nutritionists, fitness instructors and equine therapists. I also have extensive experience in long term support, helping people through transitional stages such as from residential care to returning to their families and communities.
