Kel O'Neill

I trained and practice as an integrative counsellor with a humanistic perspective as my base. I believe that everyone is unique and so what works for one client may not work for the next. Using an integrative approach allows for me to be more flexible and fluid in working together with you. Different people need different things, at different times and I respect this. I have extensive experience in the area of Eating Disorders having fulfilled many roles in the field over the last 11 years. This is work that I feel passionate about, and believe that it's a honour to support individuals on their journey to recovery. You can read more about me and my work here: The clinic is based in Ellesmere Port (not far from Cheshire Oaks) easily reachable from Cheshire, Wirral, Liverpool and North Wales. We are on a direct bus route from Chester and Liverpool. 1 mile from the train station. Free parking 1 minute away. 8 Chester Road Whitby Ellesmere Port CH65 6RU

Referral Criteria & Process

As a Counsellor I can work with you whether you have a diagnosed Eating Disorder or not. This means that I have no strict criteria for referral – I believe strongly that if you are experience emotionally distress you deserve the care and support you need IMMEDIATELY irrespective of diagnoses or label. All you have to do is drop me an email or give me a call. Please be aware that because I am in a private clinic, and Eating Disorders are associated with high physical risk it is likely that you will also need to see your GP to make sure that those needs are also monitored. Please do not feel concerned by this, it is part of ensuring your health, and ultimately your life and you will be fully supported in this process.
