Huntercombe Hospital Maidenhead is a specialist child and adolescent mental health hospital for young people of both genders aged 12-18 years with either an eating disorder or other diagnosed mental illness.    Within our eating unit we offer inpatient treatment for up to 20 young people with severe Anorexia Nervosa, Atypical Restrictive Eating Disorder, Bulimia Nervosa and related eating disorders.  The hospital is set within extensive grounds in a rural location but just ½ mile from junction 7 of the M4 motorway.

The Huntercombe Hospital Maidenhead has been helping young people with eating disorders since 1996. We know that the journey to recovery is often challenging but it is possible.  Our eating disorders team is a highly skilled and experienced multi-disciplinary team, allowing individuals and their families access to staff with a variety of skills and professional backgrounds.  Our clinical team is headed by a Consultant Psychiatrist and comprises an associate specialist, dietitian and chefs, social workers, teachers, physiotherapist, nurses, support workers, occupational therapist and occupational therapist assistants, psychologists, family therapist and dance therapist. Our specialist treatment programme, tailored to each patient's individual requirements, is one of the leading services of its type in the UK with a proven track record of working successfully with young people, including those with the most severe eating disorders.  Our treatment programme emphasises the role that the family plays in helping the young person to recover.
