Experience
I am an Occupational Therapist and Cognitive-Behavioural therapist. I have been working in mental health for 10 years and in eating disorders for 6 years. I currently work in an Eating Disorders Service in London and have my own lived experience. I want to support you having a meaningful life despite your difficulties. I believe in the importance of personal recovery and that there is hope for everyone. I can help you be more confident in yourself, break your eating disorders rule, improve your body image, find ways to manage negative thoughts and emotions, find motivation to participate in a range of meaningful occupations; replace unhealthy routines with healthier ones; rebuild your identity by developing new roles outside of the illness, and improve motivation and confidence. Recovery is possible and you don't have to do this alone.
I can provide CBT, CBT for trauma, CBT for EDs, MANTRA and/or Occupational Therapy. We'll explore what keeps your difficulties going and identify ways to remove the barriers preventing you from living a fulfilling and meaningful life. I work in a collaborative manner.
For me, it is essential to get to know you, understand your story and meet you where you are right now. I attach the utmost importance at creating a safe non-judgmental space so that you can share your difficulties openly. I want you to feel heard, seen and valued as an individual. I work in a client-centred way understanding that every person is unique.
