Dr Paul Jenkins
If you worry a lot about food, or how your body looks, you might be suffering with an eating disorder. I am a clinical psychologist specialising in working with adults with eating problems. Common diagnostic labels for these problems include anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge-eating disorder, and all are characterised by a difficult relationship with food and eating. Treatment is delivered within a cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) framework and I usually offer CBT-E, a particularly approach with a strong evidence base. I work solely online to enhance access to treatment in a convenient way. I have received training and supervision from the developers of CBT-E and also supervise others in its delivery. This intervention usually lasts from 6 -12 months and had you (and your problems) at its centre. A bit about me: I qualified as a clinical psychologist in 2009 and developed a passion for helping those with eating problems. I also enjoy research and have published several academic papers looking at eating difficulties.
