I am a Principal-Lead Clinical Psychologist, Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist and Advanced Schema Therapist in training, based in Amersham (Bucks, HP6). Alongside my private practice, I have worked in NHS mental health settings for over nine years, including over six years' specialist experience working with eating disorders. I am a recognised provider with most healthcare insurers including BUPA, AXA, Aviva, Pru-Health and Cigna. As a Clinical Psychologist, I am experienced in providing a range of specialist and evidence-based therapies for eating disorders. These include CBT, Enhanced-CBT (CBT-E) and Schema Therapy. This expertise allows me provide an individualised, informed and tailor-made approach to treatment. As a therapist, I feel passionately about offering therapies which are proven to be effective for eating difficulties and this has led me specialise as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. My ongoing training as an Advanced Schema Therapist also enables me to work with complex and longstanding eating disorders, including those which have not responded to other therapies. Above all, I believe that a safe and trusting relationship should form the cornerstone of any therapy. Understanding, compassion and respect lie at the centre of my work. Please visit my website for client testimonials. Alongside my private practice, I also work as Lead Therapist for an NHS eating disorders service (one of the largest in the UK). My work as an Honorary Lecturer and active Clinical Researcher also ensures my practice is informed by the very latest scientific developments. My areas of expertise include working with the internal €œanorexic voice€ and schema therapy applied to eating difficulties. I am a regular publisher of scientific research and have presented at both national and international conferences.
