Counsellor Who Cares

About me and my therapy practice

Hi thank you for looking at my profile, my name is Becky Stone, I specialise in Eating Disorders in break through recovery training sessions with ADULTS/ TEENAGERS. Changing mindset and self-harming relationship with food and empowering you with knowledge, skills and motivation to get out of the problem and change the behaviour patterns. What makes this type of therapy different? The most important part of therapy is making sure i am the right expert for you.I specialise in Eating Disorder break through counselling sessions working with individuals suffering with eating disorders. Eating Disorder can be really difficult and without the right and correct type of support it can be really difficult to move forward. My training has enabled me to help move clients forwards, it has become frequently aware at times that there is a lack of awareness and help around eating disorders from GP, general counsellors and other Multi agencies, this is where my specialised training has come into my practice. I'm able to work with anorexia, bulimia and obesity, working through the poor relationship that is presenting with food from low self-esteem, self loathing and teaching them how to be kind to themselves as a person then focusing on food and self harming with it.

Assessment is for 2 hours to give us both time to really get to know each other, I use a life line to ask questions around food patterns and life evens to help get a really good understanding of what is going on for you. The first session may feel really scary and feel very exposed with the shame and the guilt of having a eating disorder, I completely get this even though i am not you, I have had an Eating disorder in the past and can relate to what you possibly may say. If you would like me to share my journey please ask me.

The assessment is charged at £130
