Belle Bigland Eating Disorder Recovery Coach

NB Due to exceptional demand, I am currently not taking on new clients. I will update this listing and respond to any further enquiries as soon as I get through my current waiting list. Thank you for your patience.

My name is Belle. I am a recovery coach serving Stratford-upon-Avon, Alcester and surrounding areas in Warwickshire and Worcestershire. I offer face-to-face, Skype and telephone sessions – flexible according to client preference. My specialist treatment areas are anxiety and eating disorders.

Background: After a long battle with chronic anxiety which later manifested as anorexia nervosa, I worked as a mental health recovery worker for Rethink Mental Illness. Here, I supported people with severe mental health problems to regain their confidence and independence.

Since then, I have worked for the UKs leading mental health charity MIND in GP surgeries across Worcestershire. I have empowered people to manage difficult emotions such as anxiety and panic attacks, depression, anger, low self-esteem, stress, grief and loneliness, which are ever-increasing in today's world.

I am uniquely equipped with understanding  of the hardship and internal conflict of living with an eating disorder, but also knowledge of life beyond that struggle. Recognising that no single experience is the same, I now work together with clients to identify individual triggers and combat life-limiting thoughts and behaviours, using resources and methods practised during both my own recovery and professional work. I want clients to know that they are not alone, and recovery is possible for everyone.

At the heart of my service "Belleve", is the belief that recovery must be led by the individual. We will work together to conquer your goals at a pace determined by, and using the methods which work for you. Using this person-centred approach, together we will build your strength and mental resilience, enabling you to realise your full potential. You too can enjoy life beyond the shackles of your ED.

Both dietetic and therapeutic support are vital. I could not have recovered from my eating disorder without the help of a specialist eating disorder dietitian. I now proudly work in partnership with a dietitian - our combined lived experience and professional expertise providing the holistic package needed for a solid, sustainable recovery. For more information on our bespoke treatment packages, please get in touch.

I am here to show people that recovery is possible. Even when it feels like there is no way out, there is always hope. With enough belief, support and encouragement, you can achieve real and lasting change in your life.

Having navigated through the darkest times and found real, full life again, I'm here to help you do the same.
