I am an expert clinical psychologist working in different public and private settings ever since finishing my clinical M.A. in 2002. For the past 16 years I've also been offering psychotherapy in a private setting and in 2017 I became an expert clinical supervisor. I specialize in working with people suffering from eating disorders, a field in which I gained a lot of experience over the years. The therapeutic techniques that are at the heart of my work are psychoanalytically based, though I integrate Mentalisation, Narative and Cognitive based interventions in my work. I moved to the UK from Israel 5 years ago. In London I work with adults and adolescents in a private clinic situated in Richmond. Together with my colleague, clinical dietitian Maja Berry, we opened the Bluebird centre- offering an inclusive care for people suffering from eating disorders. I am also an honorary psychotherapist at the Tavistock institute, part of the NHS (north London). I work alongside a clinical dietitian expert in eating disorders and if needed a psychiatrist. Usually, therapy will be of long duration with a minimum of one weekly session, though in acute situations more is sometimes needed at the beginning of treatment. We will always assess at the beginning of treatment whether an intervention in the community is suitable or whether a more intensive NHS setting is needed. With children and adolescents, psychotherapy will always involve work with parents. Given the severity of the disorder, a long process of healing is needed and a commitment to the process is important. Clinical and counsling psychologist.
