We are a small private community service based in the heart of Ashley Cross in Poole. We offer therapy to those wanting to overcome with Anorexia, Bulimia and Binge Eating. One-to-one therapy is offered face-to-face or online. We offer concession rates which are with our qualified counsellors. You will have a chance to discuss your goals for reducing restrictive eating, binging and purging by making individual goals towards normalising your eating. Appointments are available in person and online to support meal plans moving into recovery. Our OT team are here to help you to integrate self.care, leisure activities and productivity into your recovery. We offer support groups and rolling programs to help you to maintain the progress you have made from inpatient treatment, ending one-to-one therapy or to prepare for other life transitions like moving out of home or preventing relapse. We run a variety of support groups for those struggling with an eating disorder in the community. Such as our bing eating program, this program is a self-help group program that will carry individuals through reducing preoccupation around shape and weight, normalising eating patterns and building body confidence. We also bring weekly topics which are facilitated by our team. Our workshops run through out the week and vary from mindfulness, shelf help book club, meal planning and emotional regulation. We try to keep these fun so that we can build skills for 'real-life' living.

Training

Located in the heart of Ashley Cross, Poole, the Ashley Cross Eating Disorders Service stands as a pivotal resource for individuals seeking to overcome eating disorders, including Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder, and ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder). Our approach combines professional therapy with community and online support to foster recovery and resilience.

We specialise in a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT-E), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (CBT-AR), Family-Based Treatment (FBT), and psychotherapy. These therapies are offered one-to-one and can be accessed face-to-face or online, providing flexible options tailored to individual needs. Our focus is on helping you reduce harmful eating behaviours, while setting personal goals towards healthier eating patterns and emotional well-being.

Online Meal Support: Recognising the importance of meal support in the recovery from eating disorders, we offer online meal support sessions throughout the week. These sessions are designed to assist individuals in overcoming challenges with eating, offering encouragement and practical advice during meals.

Affordable Access with Qualified Practitioners: Understanding the financial pressures that can accompany long-term therapy, we offer concession rates with our qualified counsellors, making professional support more accessible.

Online Treatment Day Support: Expanding our online services, we now offer a comprehensive treatment day support program. This includes group therapy, psycho-educational workshops, and family support groups. These online platforms provide a flexible and inclusive environment for recovery, allowing individuals and their families to participate in the healing process from the comfort of their homes.

Dietitian Support: A key addition to our team is our dietitians, who provide expert nutritional guidance tailored to the needs of those recovering from eating disorders. Our dietitians work closely with clients to develop personalised meal plans, address nutritional concerns, and support overall health and recovery.

Community-Based Support and Recovery: We continue to offer a variety of support groups, tailored to the needs of those struggling with eating disorders in the community. Our programs are designed to reduce preoccupation with shape and weight, normalise eating patterns, and build body confidence, supported by weekly topics facilitated by our dedicated team.

At Ashley Cross Eating Disorders Service, our mission is to offer services that support both the physical and emotional aspects of recovery from eating disorders.
