Aneurin Bevan University Health Board and South Powys Tier 3 Specialist Eating Disorders Service

The Specialist Eating Disorder Service offers a range of  services for people within the Aneurin Bevan University Board and South Powys.  Our specialist tertiary service offers assessment, intensive treatment and management to people with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder or mixed eating disorder symptoms (eating disorders not otherwise specified). Interventions may comprise of individual and group therapy.  Treatment programmes are evidence-based care packages tailored to meet the needs of service users and their carers.  Our multi-disciplinary team includes: a psychiatrist, mental health nurses,  dietitian, occupational therapist, support worker, psychotherapist and group analyst.

Referral Criteria & Process

Referrals to the service are accepted via the relevant local Community Mental Health Team.
