Addictive Eaters Anonymous
Addictive Eaters Anonymous is a Twelve Step Fellowship based on the model pioneered by Alcoholics Anonymous. Members meet regularly to share their experience of recovery from addictive eating through the Twelve Steps of AEA. The main object of Addictive Eaters Anonymous is to help those suffering from all aspects of addictive eating, which can include binge eating, anorexia, bulimia, obesity, compulsive exercise and other forms of addictive eating. We have weekly face-to-face and online meetings, as well as a monthly online web event. By regular attendance at AEA meetings, getting a sponsor, working the steps, keeping in contact with sober members, and carrying the message of recovery to the still suffering addictive eater, members are freed from addictive eating and the obsession with food.
